Ex-supermodel/talk show host Tyra Banks hits the cover in a fire-engine red swimsuit, showing us what 161 pounds looks like. Turns out it’s smokin’ hot.

In her teens, Banks was so thin –5-10 and 110 pounds — that schoolmates nastily dubbed her “Ethiopia.” Now, the tabloids are printing unflattering pictures of the Rubenesque Banks with headlines such as “Tyra Porkchop” and “America’s Next Top Waddle.”

Tyra Banks is always up for a publicity stunt. Last year she did an X-ray on “The Tyra Banks Show” to prove her breasts weren’t fake. But this six-page feature seems a sincere attempt by Banks to rejigger our outworn notions of beauty.
