Lindsay Lohan Wants Wonder Woman

Lindsay Lohan is desperate to play Wonder Woman in the forthcoming movie version of the comic book superhero.

The 19-year-old actress admits she would love to broaden her talents and be an action star.

She says: “Wonder Woman would be cool.

“I’m trying to find roles right now that are different to anything I’ve done to show my abilities, to show that I have some sort of stretch in me.

“Because most of the things that I’ve done so far are aimed at younger girls and are light-hearted.” source

Brett Ratner returning for more “X-Men” or “Wolverine”?

MTV.com (http://www.mtv.com) recently interviewed Vinny Jones, who stars in Dreamworks’ “She’s the Man” and also the forthcoming “X-Men 3: The Last Stand” and hinted that “X3” director Brett Ratner (who replaced Bryan Singer) may return for “X4” and “X5″…and possibly the “Wolverine” movie?

“I said this to Brett the other day, and he was saying that they’ll probably use a lot of the characters,” Jones said, implying that the director will also return alongside star Hugh Jackman in “Wolverine.” “Hopefully [the Wolverine/ Juggernaut rivalry] will come into it. There might be something for me and him to get together.”

Singer Kelly Clarkson cancels Israel concerts

Pop singer Kelly Clarkson announced Thursday that her Israel concerts will be cancelled due to a throat illness. Major sponsor of the concerts Partner Telecom (owner of Orange Israel) is expected to suffer a heavy loss as a result.

Clarkson, who enjoys immense popularity in Israel, has already cancelled a Paris concert, and held a short concert in Berlin on Wednesday. Her doctors, however, instructed her to cease from any singing activities because her condition has worsened.

The cancelled concert is expected to cause Partner Telecom heavy losses estimated at several million shekels. The company invested approximately $400,000, in a massive advertising campaign as part of its marketing policy.

Another investment Partner had made was in tickets at a significant price reduction for its customers. All tickets were sold out several hours after sales began. Partner emphasized that all ticket buyers will be fully refunded.

Clarkson is the first winner of the U.S. reality TV show American Idol. After winning she quickly became one of the most popular singers in the U.S. and around the world. Source

Mariah Carey Agreed To Do First TV Commercial

Mariah Carey has signed up to work with Intel, the first time in her career she’s accepted a TV advert role.

After a huge year, which saw her Island Def Jam Records debut “The Confessions Of Mimi” return her to the top of the pop charts – landing several Grammy Awards, as well as awards at the Billboards, MTV MVA’s, Radio Music Awards and this month’s Soul Train bash – the star’s bankability is back at top dollar.

According to the latest reports, Carey has agreed to do her first TV commercial spot with Intel – after being convinced by the star factor already on board.

“Mariah is asked to do commercials every day but when she heard that Lucy Liu, Seal and John Cleese had all done the Intel adverts, she agreed,” a source is quoted in Britain’s Daily Star newspaper as saying.Source
